Herb Society Meeting 28th September 2026

A great meeting on Monday.

Ericka shared photos and tales from her trip to Morocco earlier this year, showing how diverse the country is with 20th Century vehicles travelling the roads alongside horses and carts! Whilst crossing the Sahara desert you find many oases bursting with vegetables, fruit and olive trees due to their fertile soil and water supply. Markets are full of spices and herbs also grown within the country. Surprise fact – there is an alpine region within Morocco with many ski resorts so during the winter you can try out your skiing skills!! We were also treated to a Moroccan mint tea for supper. Thank you, Ericka, for transporting us to the middle east for the evening!

Vanessa reminded us that summer is not far away with a display table of Herbs for Barbecues and marinades.

There was a ‘mini workshop’ to make Cumquat pomanders.

Supper completed the evening with many sweet and savory treats to end the night!

Not long now until the end of the year, see you at the October meeting on the 26th… 😊🌱
